Oura Sananikone is an artist that creates cartoon-like pieces with vibrant colors and explores the different mediums of art throughout his work. He has created murals, comics, paintings, etc. He maintains his art style within almost every piece of his but each piece also has a certain individuality and specialty to it. It was interesting hearing him talk about color and when to use what kinds of color to convey different themes/areas of art with his comics. If I could ask him a question I would ask how can I steer myself away from being afraid of using bright colors in my artwork? Did he experience a fear of that boldness or did it come naturally to him? I've always been more wary of when to use certain colors, but looking at his artwork all these various bright colors truly fit in with his style and art that it makes me want to open up and try to use more color within my works.
